Akmenek mainly deals with Contracts Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Foreign Investments, Mergers and Acquisitions, Data Protection / Privacy, Technology Law, Corporate Governance and Labour Law issues within SRP-Legal Law Office.
Prior to SRP-Legal, Akmenek created a 13 years’ of demonstrated experience by working in the world’s largest cruise port operator and a leading international law firm in Istanbul.
Akmenek provided legal services including (i) management of legal processes regarding Initial Public Offerings, Bond and Eurobond issuance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Due Diligences, Privatizations and Tenders in Turkey and Abroad; (ii) management and follow up of procedures regarding Protection of Personal Data as well as Corporate Governance and Compliance; (iii) provision of legal assistance regarding Contracts Law and Corporate Law issues; (iv) acting as Company Secretary; (v) management and follow up of litigations regarding Labour Law and other legal breaches raised during port operations. Akmenek is highly experienced in above mentioned branches of law.
Akmenek is currently studying on her postgraduate thesis about Digital Data and the Right to be Forgotten within the frame of Personal Data Protection.
Akmenek is a member of Istanbul Bar Association and has strong command of English. Akmenek is also a sworn translator to / from Turkish / English.
