As SRP-Legal Law Office (SRP-Legal”), we show ultimate attention in order to process and protect your personal data in accordance with the Attorneys Law No. 1136 and the principles related to attorneyship profession (“Attorneys Law”), the Law on Personal Data Protection no. 6698 and its secondary regulations (“PDP Law”).

As SRP-Legal, we would like to inform you through this SRP-Legal Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) within the scope of our obligations under the PDP Law.

1. What Information Do We Collect About You and Why?

SRP-Legal would like to present to your attention the legitimate processing purposes and the personal data that are relevant with, limited to and proportionate to these purposes, as below:

SRP-Legal may process your special categories of personal data where the law requires.

In many cases, it would be impossible, or would require disproportionate effort on our part, to provide notice of processing directly to the third parties. In most circumstances, we will in any event be subject to a legal obligation of professional secrecy in relation to our client data that are entrusted to us and, therefore, are not permitted to inform the relevant data subjects of our personal data processing.

2. How Do We Collect Your Personal Data?

SRP-Legal, obtain your personal data in accordance with the PDP Law, via our website https://www.srp-legal.com, our e-mail address info@srp-legal.com e-mail address, our subscribing tab, through the cookies using by SRP-Legal and running in accordance with the PDP Law,  from directly our potential/current clients, business partners, suppliers, outsource service providers and/or clients’ representative/competent and/or employees, our attorneys, our visitors, on public platforms, from authorized person and authority

SRP-Legal processes process your data fully or partially through automatic means or provided that the process is a part of any data registry system, through non-automatic means.

3. Your Personal Data Sharing With Third Parties

SRP-Legal shares your personal data with its trusted outsource service providers, suppliers and business partners within the scope of the contracts concluded with them and regularly inspects them. Information technology and technology infrastructure service providers, communication agencies, telecommunications operators, banking institutions or external consultants are among these third parties.

SRP-Legal shares the personal data of its clients with the courts, tribunals, government authorities and related parties or counterparties under the relevant law and regulations.

SRP-Legal never sells your personal data obtained under the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice and does not permit the use of any other person for marketing purposes

In principle, SRP-Legal does not transfer your personal data out of Turkey. However, if legal service requested by you, require such cross-border transfer, this can be made in accordance with the PDP Law.

4. Records Retention and Security Policy

SRP-Legal retains your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice such as AML requirements, our legitimate interests and in the relevant legal regulations.SRP-Legal has a high awareness of the protection of personal data security and privacy. In this direction, SRP-Legal processes, protects and destroys your personal data in accordance with the relevant legal regulations, in particular the PDP Law.

In case of expiration of the relevant retention periods, your personal data will be erased, destroyed or anonymized in accordance with the SRP-Legal Personal Data Retention and Destruction Policy and the PDP Law.

Your personal data are stored in the database of our outsource service providers and in the SRP-Legal archive.

5. Your Rights

SRP-Legal will immediately notify you and the Personal Data Protection Board if your personal data is damaged and / or seized by third parties as a result of attacks on SRP-Legal’s hard copy archives and / or servers and / or other systems.

Under The Law on Personal Data Protection, Article 11, you can apply to SRP-Legal (i) to be informed whether your personal data are processed or not, (ii) to request information if your personal data are processed, (iii) to learn the purpose of your data processing and whether this/these data is/are used for intended purposes, (iv) to know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred in Turkey or out of Turkey, (v) to request the rectification of the incomplete or inaccurate data, if any, (vi) to request the erasure or destruction of your personal data under the conditions laid down in Article 7, (vii) to request notification of the operations carried out in compliance with (iv) and (v) to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, (viii) to object to the processing, exclusively by automatic means you’re your personal data, which leads to an unfavorable consequence for you, (ix) to request compensation for the damage arising from the unlawful processing of your personal data.
